Immediate disposition includes the removal of the deceased from the place of death, obtaining the Medical Certificate of Death, Registration of Death, Burial Permit and all other necessary documentation. A simple container (unlined and without handles) and transportation to the cemetery or crematorium. Cemetery and/or crematorium charges are extra. Some cemeteries permit two interments in a single grave. The cemetery has opening and closing charges. The charge for the plot and perpetual care varies, and not all cemeteries offer perpetual care. Burial Vaults It is customary for the casket to be placed in an outer receptacle at the time of burial. The type of receptacle varies from a wooden box to different qualities of metal, concrete or fiberglass vaults, depending on the cemetery requirements. Markers Cemeteries have regulations regarding the size and types of markers used. It is best to check with the cemetery concerned, before choosing the marker. |
