MILITARY OR FRATERNAL SERVICES
A veteran with overseas service may qualify for a full or partial burial allowance under the Department of Veterans Affairs grant or the Department of Pension grant or payment from the Last Post Fund. Some type of qualification will provide a plot in the Field of honor or an equivalent allowance toward the cost of opening and closing the grave in a family plot. This is dependent on but in addition to any burial allowance approved under regulations for this application. Monuments will be provided for those qualified under the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of National Defence or the Last Post Fund.
